Register for WHV Part 3

5. Fees – these are the costs you will incur 💰

The following fees apply for the WHV:
• CAD 179.75 for processing the application
• CAD 85 for submitting biometric data
• CAD 100 specifically for the Working Holiday Visa
Payment is made online by credit card.

6. Biometric data – make an appointment

After submitting your documents, you will be asked to submit your biometric data (fingerprints and photo).

📍 In Austria, there is only one centre responsible for this – in Vienna.
Register as early as possible in the month, then you will usually get an appointment quickly.

🕓 Deadline: You have 30 days to attend the appointment.
An extension is possible in principle, but only in justified exceptional cases. If in doubt, check this directly on the official website.

💡 Additional note on passports
If your passport is about to expire, you can renew it after creating your profile. It is important that your passport is valid for the entire duration of your stay in Canada.
In my case, I contacted the organisation behind the official website directly – they helped me out without any fuss.

Conclusion:

The WHV application process may seem a little complex at first glance, but it is easy to manage if you work through the requirements step by step.

📌 My recommendation: take your time, pay attention to the deadlines and regularly check the information on the official website.
I hope this post helps you get a better overview! If you have any questions or would like to know more about my personal experiences, feel free to leave a comment or write to me directly.
