Whitehorse Part 1
I finally made it to the Yukon! I'm really enjoying it so far. It's almost always windy, and the temperature hasn't gone above 15°C yet. The work here is quite varied: replacing windows, repairing fences, picking up a chicken coop from another farm and putting it back together, and helping out on market day. Nobody seems to complain about how much I can eat either!

A bit about the history of the Yukon:
The Yukon is one of Canada's most historic regions. Long before European explorers arrived, various First Nations lived there, and their cultures continue to shape the region today.
The Yukon became world-famous during the Klondike Gold Rush. After gold was discovered in 1896, thousands of prospectors rushed to the area, especially to Dawson City. In 1898, the Yukon officially became a separate Canadian territory. Today, its vast wilderness, historic gold rush sites, and vibrant First Nations cultures continue to reflect this important chapter of Canadian history.
