Totem?

An attempt to explain what totems are:

Totem poles are artistically carved wooden poles created by many Indigenous communities of the Northwest Coast. They represent family stories, animals, ancestors, or important events. They are cultural symbols with meaning and not simply decoration.

Why are totem poles symbolically danced for?

Totem poles are symbolically danced around because they fulfill social, spiritual, and ceremonial roles in the cultures of the Indigenous peoples of the Northwest Coast of North America. It is not about the pole itself, but about bringing the stories, ancestors, and forces it represents to life.

How am I doing?

I am doing quite well. This week I cleaned the bus for the bison ranch tour on Thursday and cut broombush, because there is a lot of it on this farm and it is an invasive plant. And now I am happy that my journey continues.

Highlights of the week:

  1. 1. Continuing my journey to Victoria.

  2. 2.Finishing my first WWOOF.

We hear us in next friday!
