Thoughts before WHV Part 3
Finances & Insurance
When it comes to finances and insurance, I want to keep it general again, as what is right for one person may not be right for another. This is only intended as a guide.
What should I do with my flat?
Keeping it can be a burden on your travel budget. How far away is my family from the flat? Is it worth bringing my belongings back and moving somewhere else? Do I want to change my home town so drastically?
Can I cancel my insurance policies? Can I change my savings contributions?
What about insurance policies and which ones are currently valid? When is the respective cancellation period so that I can do it on time? What do I currently have that I could do without? Is it the gym, streaming services, or could I imagine going to restaurants less often before the trip? How do I change my savings plans? Quarterly, half-yearly or only once a year when I'm not in Austria?
Which WHV insurance should I take out? Young Traveller or Education60?
It's entirely a matter of taste; whichever one appeals to you more is the one you should take.
How do you see it?
