Today we're featuring the Inuit – one of Canada's three officially recognized Indigenous peoples, along with the First Nations and the Métis.

The Inuit have lived in the Arctic regions of Canada for thousands of years, primarily in Nunavut, the Northwest Territories, Quebec, and Labrador. They have adapted to the harsh climate and traditionally made their living by hunting seals, whales, and caribou, as well as fishing.

The Inuit speak several Inuit languages, such as Inuktitut, and maintain their culture to this day. Art, woodcarving, and throat singing are important parts of their tradition.

Today, many Inuit blend their traditional ways of life with modern life, helping to preserve their culture and language for future generations.
