An absolute highlight of the trip, even though it was quite expensive. I learned a lot about how books are created and everything that goes into writing a successful book. I got to talk to various authors. The panels and also the short conversation with Louise Penny were very refreshing, entertaining and educational. (One of her books is where the blog got its name from).
After that, it was already time to move on to Winnipeg to see this city as well. The zoo, volunteering and watching the Manitoba Ahbee Festival were the main reasons for visiting the city. Getting around by public transport in Winnipeg is a real nightmare, and for me, it is the city with the worst bus system I have experienced so far, and it will be hard to beat that. Today, I'm already heading to my next WWOOF host. Stay tuned to see what's waiting for me there.
